I am running because Cambridge is my home, and I want to help make it cleaner, safer, more affordable and better managed. As a father, construction project manager and founder of the Clean Cambridge Project, I want to bring practical experience, responsible planning and strong community leadership to City Hall.
How does the current two-tier structure of municipal and regional government affect the Region's ability to make coherent decisions on housing, planning, and infrastructure?candidate's own words

Transportation planning is often hindered because regional roads and transit are managed by the Region, while local streets and land-use decisions involve the City. Better coordination would help connect housing, transit, cycling routes and road improvements while reducing delays and duplication.
