A. Perspective on climate change

B. Building and development standards
  • Use development agreements to require climate sustainability measures as a condition of approval
C. Infrastructure and capital planning
  • Require an assessment of impacts on aquifer recharge

Describe one concrete policy, incentive, or decision you would prioritize to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Where possible, explain how it balances environmental goals with fiscal responsibility.candidate's own words

If you want to stop climate change, stop buying products from China. China and India contribute exponentially more to greenhouse gas emissions than Canada. Otherwise - place a moratorium on ALL construction for the next 10 years. The only way to be truly net-zero is to stop building and covering prime farmland with concrete and asphalt. A low-carbon building will NOT make up for the green space that was destroyed to create it.
